A chargeback is the most expensive thing that happens on a subscription platform. The payment is pulled back, and the platform can freeze the account while the dispute runs.

It is not a refund. A refund is authorized by the platform. A chargeback is opened by the customer’s bank and can land up to 90 days after the sale.

Mexican cards add one more layer: a purchase split into meses sin intereses (MSI) can be disputed instalment by instalment, so a single sale can come back more than once.

Keep the chat, the receipt and the dates. That record is the entire case.
